Plastic Free Farmers’ Market

Plastic Free Farmers’ Market

Today, I started to wonder how I was going to package veggies for customers – without plastic!

Our household has significantly reduced its use of plastic over the last few years by storing all food, including lunches, in reusable containers.

We aren’t perfect, but being plastic free is definitely a goal we work toward everyday, and we want to encourage a less plastic lifestyle by asking that everyone bring their own bags to our stand.

So, we want to get the word out to please, please, please bring your own reusable or paper bags to the market.

For those of you that don’t get the message before you see us, we will have some kraft paper bags on hand for a small additional fee.

While searching around for some alternatives, I found this cool website that is all about plastic-free living, and here is some information on how to store vegetables without plastic.

Cheers to a living a low-plastic life.
